A recent study conducted by researchers at Griffith University in Australia explores the factors that influence healthcare professionals' adoption of Electronic Medical Records (EMRs). The study involved 78 interviews with healthcare professionals from two large Australian hospitals and identified 23 factors that impact EMR uptake, including perceived benefits, difficulties, hardware/software compatibility, and organizational and technological support. The findings have implications for healthcare policymakers, hospital executives, IT departments, and healthcare professionals using EMRs.
