Abstrakt: The increasing population of electric cars is predicted to bring about a future transportation trend that is more environmentally friendly. However, problems with electric vehicle technology still arise related to their performance and durability. This study aims to determine the characteristics of BLDC electric motors for electric vehicles in terms of changes in battery performance. This study uses a modeling approach with an experimental design. The modeling uses simulink software to test the effect of changes in battery performance in terms of voltage and battery capacity on the performance of electric motors in terms of vehicle speed, vehicle mileage and battery current. The modeling results show that the Ni-MH battery has the best performance, the second is Li-Ion and the last is Lead Acid. Various types of batteries tested have the same characteristics when the SOC is below 20% the effective voltage of the battery will drop drastically. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
