The article presents news briefs concerning the Association of Computing Machinery (ACM). The ACM Council has adopted a policy statement on data processing schools during its June 3, 1969 meeting. Donn Parker, ACM secretary and chairman of the Professional Standards and Practices Committee, reported the costs involved in changing the ACM Code of Ethics during the May 17, 1969 meeting. The ACM Visiting Scientists Program is offered to colleges and small universities in cooperation with the U.S. National Science Foundation. |
