A study conducted at Southwest Medical University in Sichuan, China, evaluated the effectiveness of combining hydroxychloroquine with azithromycin in managing rosacea. The study included 90 patients with rosacea who were divided into two groups: one group received hydroxychloroquine alone, and the other group received a combination of hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin. The group that received the combination treatment showed a significant decrease in the duration of symptom improvement, as well as better symptom scores and psychological assessment scores. The researchers concluded that further studies are needed to confirm the efficacy and safety of this treatment. [Extracted from the article] |
