A recent study conducted by the Center for Public Health in Sri Lanka explores the effectiveness of "gatekeeper" training for pesticide vendors in reducing pesticide self-poisoning in rural areas. The study aims to ensure intervention fidelity by examining the extent to which vendors use the strategies taught in the training. A multimethod qualitative research design is being used, including participant diaries, observations, and focus group discussions. The study has been approved by the Ethics and Research Committee and findings will be disseminated in scientific journals and conferences. [Extracted from the article] |
