Abstrakt: A study conducted at Ain Shams University in Egypt examined the relationship between chronic spontaneous urticaria (CSU) and anxiety and depression. CSU is a condition characterized by the development of hives and angioedema. The study found a significant correlation between the severity of CSU and the severity of anxiety and depression. Female patients were more likely to have CSU and were more affected by anxiety and depression than male patients. The findings suggest that patients with CSU may experience high rates of anxiety and depression, and that CSU disease activity can impact the severity of depression. [Extracted from the article]
