Abstrakt: A recent study conducted in South Korea found a high prevalence of ALPK3 premature terminating variants in Korean patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCMP). The study, which used exome sequencing, observed that these variants were significantly enriched in the Korean HCMP cohort. The researchers suggest that individuals carrying these variants should be considered at risk for developing HCMP and should be monitored for cardiomyopathies. This study provides valuable insights into the genetic factors associated with HCMP in the Korean population. [Extracted from the article]
