Abstrakt: A recent study conducted by researchers at Tsinghua University in Beijing, China, explored the potential use of transcranial alternating current stimulation (tACS) in mitigating motion sickness symptoms. The study involved 19 subjects who were exposed to Coriolis stimuli and then randomly assigned to receive either tACS stimulation or sham stimulation. The researchers found that the tACS stimulation group showed improved behavioral performance and entrained alpha oscillation, suggesting that tACS on the parieto-occipital cortex could be a potential method for alleviating motion sickness symptoms. This research provides valuable insights into the integration of sensory inputs and offers a potential avenue for future treatment options. [Extracted from the article]
