Abstrakt: A recent study conducted at Ohio State University has found that the activation of a specific receptor called NOD2 can enhance the function of macrophages and increase the efficacy of antibody therapy for chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). The researchers discovered that treatment with an NOD2 agonist led to the activation of monocytes and an increase in antibody-mediated phagocytosis. This effect was found to be dependent on specific signaling pathways. The study suggests that NOD2 agonists may help overcome the suppressive microenvironment in CLL and improve the effectiveness of antibody therapy. [Extracted from the article]
