Chalcone and its derivatives have attracted great attention because of a wide range of biological activities such as, antimicrobial, anticancer, antioxidant, anti-anthelmintic, anti-amoebicidal, antiulcer, antiviral, insecticidal and immunosuppressive. The presence of functional groups and conjugation within the structure make it a good candidate for these applications.
