The Surah al-Fatihah is a frequently recited chapter by Muslims, indicating its importance in the life of a Muslim. This surah is not only practised by Muslims with all their senses intact but can also be practised by the differently-abled community. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to examine the experiences of teachers using the Tahfiz Akhyar method for memorising Surah al-Fatihah among hearing-impaired students. A case study was conducted to obtain qualitative data through interviews. Three teachers with more than 5 years of experience in teaching the Quran to hearing-impaired individuals participated in the study. The findings yielded three sub-themes based on teachers’ feedback, including challenges faced by students, challenges faced by teachers, and engaging teaching materials. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
