Abstrakt: This article discusses several instances in sports history where teams were able to draft multiple top selections in the same year, resulting in successful duos. The examples include the Chicago Bears drafting Rome Odunze and Caleb Williams in 2024, the Los Angeles Sparks selecting Cameron Brink and Rickea Jackson in the WNBA draft, the Edmonton Oilers picking Mark Messier and Glenn Anderson in 1979, the Houston Comets acquiring Sheryl Swoopes and Cynthia Cooper in the inaugural WNBA draft in 1997, the San Diego Chargers drafting Drew Brees and LaDainian Tomlinson in 2001, the Detroit Tigers selecting Alan Trammell and Jack Morris in 1976, the Los Angeles Lakers acquiring Derek Fisher and Kobe Bryant in 1996, the Vancouver Canucks drafting the Sedin Twins in 1999, and the Nashville Predators picking Ryan Suter and Shea Weber in 2003.
