Objective: This study was carried out in a quasi-experimental design with pre-training and post-training control group, which was carried out to improve the health literacy levels of nursing students. Material and Methods: The population of the study consisted of Faculty of Nursing Students (a total of 1135 students) in 2022 and the sample consisted of 78 students determined using G-Power Analysis. The study was conducted as a quasi-experimental design with a pre-training and post-training control group. The questionnaire form and Turkey Health Literacy Scale-32 were used to collect the data for the study. Within the scope of the study, online training was given for 4 weeks to improve the health literacy levels of the students. Results: While there was no statistical difference between the THLS-32 and subscales mean scores of the students participating in the experimental and control groups of the study before and after the training; it was concluded that the THLS-32 total scores of the students in the experimental group increased significantly after the training compared to the pre-training. Conclusion: In line with these findings, it was concluded that health literacy training improved students' health literacy levels. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
