Abstrakt: A recent study conducted at the Chinese University of Hong Kong aimed to assess the effectiveness and safety of a first-trimester screen-and-prevent strategy for preterm preeclampsia (PE) in Asia. The trial included maternity/diagnostic units from ten regions in Asia and found that low-dose aspirin effectively reduced the incidence of preterm PE by 41% among high-risk women. However, the implementation of the screen-and-prevent strategy did not show a significant reduction in the overall incidence of preterm PE. The study highlights the importance of widespread implementation of this strategy on a global scale. [Extracted from the article]
