A study conducted by researchers at Federal University Mato Grosso do Sul in Brazil investigated the antithrombotic action of the essential oil of Levisticum officinale. The oil was found to have antiplatelet effects but did not exhibit anticoagulant effects. The study characterized the chemical composition of the oil and conducted various assays to assess its activity. These findings contribute to the search for new anticoagulant or antiplatelet agents for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases. [Extracted from the article] |
