Abstrakt: A recent study conducted by the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery explored the surgical evaluation and management of non-A non-B aortic dissections. The researchers emphasized the importance of thoroughly evaluating patient and family history, clinical presentation, and overall lifestyle when determining the best intervention. They presented a case study of a 38-year-old professional wrestler with uncontrolled hypertension and a family history of aortic dissection who underwent a hybrid approach of complete aortic debranching with antegrade Thoracic Endovascular Aortic Repair (TEVAR). This approach allowed for reduced cardiopulmonary bypass time and avoided more invasive procedures. The study highlights the need for a holistic approach to individualized treatment plans for aortic dissection patients. [Extracted from the article]
