A new study from Kyungpook National University in South Korea examines the toxicity profile of agrochemicals, specifically pesticides, and their impact on human and animal health. The study highlights the adverse effects of pesticides on the nervous, hepatic, cardiac, and pulmonary systems, as well as their disruption of the endocrine system. Pesticides have been found to interfere with neurotransmitter function, enzyme activity, and hormone regulation, leading to neurological impairments, hepatocellular abnormalities, cardiac dysfunction, respiratory issues, and reproductive dysfunction. The study also emphasizes the negative effects of pesticides on male reproduction, including poor sperm capacitation and eventual male infertility. Understanding these toxic effects is crucial for mitigating their impact and guiding future research. [Extracted from the article] |
