Abstrakt: A new study conducted by researchers at Northwestern University explores the association between atrial fibrillation (AF) and mortality among patients with cardiac implantable electronic devices. The study analyzed data from 21,391 patients and found that those with AF had a higher risk of mortality compared to those without AF. Additionally, patients with nonparoxysmal AF had the greatest risk of mortality. These findings highlight the importance of monitoring and managing AF in patients with cardiac implantable electronic devices. [Extracted from the article]
