A study conducted at Suez Canal University aimed to evaluate the histopathological changes in dogs' teeth following direct pulp capping using either mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) or human placenta extract (HPE). The study found that HPE showed less intense chronic inflammation and thicker dentine bridge formation compared to MTA. The research suggests that HPE may be a promising material for pulp capping in dentistry. The study was published in the European Journal of Dentistry and more information can be obtained from the authors. [Extracted from the article] |
