A recent study conducted by researchers at Assiut University in Egypt explored the efficacy of tadalafil and dexlansoprazole in treating stomach ulcers caused by dexamethasone in male albino Wister rats. The study found that treatment with either tadalafil or dexlansoprazole alone significantly reduced ulcer index, pepsin activity, tumor necrosis factor-a, and malondialdehyde levels, while increasing mucin content, prostaglandin E2, and nitric oxide levels. When tadalafil and dexlansoprazole were administered together, there was a more notable decrease in ulcer index and other factors, suggesting that the combination has promising therapeutic potential in preventing stomach ulcers caused by dexamethasone. Further research is needed to explore these findings. [Extracted from the article] |
