Abstrakt: Purpose: This study aims to visualize and analyze the global Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) in the military and defense industry research field. Methodology: Web of Science (WoS) was the selected database where articles were collected according to a predetermined selection criterion. Representing results of the search, statistics and frequencies visualization will be performed in terms of countries, cited literature and journals. VOSviewer will be used for information and to represent keywords co-occurrences, evolutionary trends, and cluster analysis. Results: A set of 47 papers, published by 113 authors from 85 institutions in 20 countries and 15 research areas was reviewed. These papers were published from 1994 to 2024, with a high concentration in a small number of countries (EUA and Taiwan). The most representative area of research is “Business Economics”. In terms, the 4 clusters were High-frequency keywords "growth", "impact", "research and development", "benchmarking", "corporate social responsibility", "bootstrap", "frontier models" and "Malmquist index". Research limitations: Since the sample data of this study is extracted only from the Web of Science database, there is a risk of insufficient literature inclusion. Originality: The analysis of Decision-Making Units efficiency in military and defense organizations is still under investigation. The use of the DEA tool to provide support in the decision-making process in these specific organizations opens a field for research with high impact on increasing efficiency at different levels. This study is intended to take an important step towards understanding important research works in this area. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
