This article, titled "Understanding the Role of Therapy-Induced Secretome in Chemo-resistance and EMT in Triple-Negative Breast Cancer," explores the impact of therapy-induced cell secretome on triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC). The study focuses on TNBC Proliferating Drug Tolerant Persister (PDTP) cells and their role in promoting chemo-resistance and metastasis. The researchers found that the secretome from PDTP cells induced epithelial to mesenchymal transition (EMT) and drug tolerance in parental TNBC cells. Additionally, they identified Galectin-1 as a potential biomarker for understanding the prognosis of TNBC patients undergoing chemotherapy. [Extracted from the article] |
