Abstrakt: This article, titled "Unravelling the Role of TGFBI in Cancer-Associated Fibroblasts and Tumor Microenvironment of NSCLC," explores the relationship between tumor cells and the lung stroma in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The study focuses on the role of TGFBI, an ECM binding protein downstream of the TGF-β pathway, in the activation of cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAF). Through functional assays and knockdown experiments, the researchers found that TGFBI is crucial for maintaining the functional properties of CAFs. The study aims to provide insights that could inform the development of targeted therapies for NSCLC. [Extracted from the article]
