Abstrakt: This article, titled "Comprehensive Genomic Characterization of 1,200 Samples across 25 Cancer Types of Indian Ethnicity," discusses the lack of ethnic diversity in large-scale genomic projects and aims to fill this gap by conducting genomic characterization of 1,200 Indian patient samples across 25 cancer types. The study utilizes whole exome and whole transcriptome sequencing and develops an integrated genomics analysis pipeline. The results provide insights into cancer driver alterations, therapeutic targets, microsatellite instability, tumor mutation burden, and molecular subtypes specific to the Indian cancer cohort. The study also identifies novel deleterious mutations and highlights the potential for further ethnic-specific biological studies and clinical trials. [Extracted from the article]
