Abstrakt: The International Atomic Energy Agency's Board of Governors has voted overwhelmingly to demand that Iran take urgent action to resolve concerns about its nuclear work and fully cooperate with IAEA requests. This resolution was proposed by Britain, France, and Germany, but was opposed by Russia and China, and the United States initially threatened to abstain. Previous censure resolutions have prompted Iran to retaliate rather than cooperate, such as removing monitoring equipment and enriching uranium to 60 percent. The director-general of the IAEA has expressed concerns about Iran's escalating violations and the potential for regional proliferation. The response from Iran to this censure is uncertain, but some sort of response is expected. European officials may consider threatening to reinstate international sanctions, but this is unlikely to happen before 2025. [Extracted from the article]
