A recent study conducted by researchers at Saint Joseph University of Beirut aimed to develop linear formulas to estimate glenoid bone loss (GBL) in the Lebanese population. The study used computed tomography scans of 202 normal shoulders to measure the width and height of the glenoids. The researchers found a strong correlation between glenoid height and width and developed sex-specific formulas to calculate glenoid width based on height, age, and sex. The study concluded that these formulas can accurately estimate glenoid width in the Lebanese population. [Extracted from the article] |
