Abstrakt: Researchers at Brno University of Technology in the Czech Republic have conducted a study on the use of Laser-induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS) as a diagnostic tool for malignant melanoma. The study focused on the elemental composition of cancerous tissue compared to healthy tissue, specifically looking at the distribution of calcium and magnesium. The researchers found differences in the distribution and concentration of these elements in different subtypes of melanoma. The study suggests that LIBS imaging could be helpful in diagnosing tumor tissue and expanding knowledge about melanoma. [Extracted from the article]
