A report from the Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences in Tanzania discusses the prevalence of malaria among children under the age of five in high-risk African countries. The study analyzes data from Malaria Indicator Surveys conducted between 2010 and 2023 and identifies various factors associated with malaria prevalence, including a child's age, maternal education level, Fansidar uptake during pregnancy, socioeconomic status, and residency. The study emphasizes the need for targeted malaria prevention strategies that address these key determinants in order to reduce the burden of malaria in this vulnerable population.
