Researchers from Yunnan University of Chinese Medicine have conducted a study on the potential therapeutic effects of daitongxiao (DTX) on hyperuricemia (HUA). The study involved administering DTX to two animal models of HUA and observing its effects. The results showed that DTX improved overall health, reduced serum urate levels and xanthine oxidase activity, and enhanced urinary and fecal uric acid excretion. Additionally, DTX mitigated renal structural damage and inflammatory response. The study suggests that DTX may suppress the progression of HUA by modulating the expression of uric acid transporter group members. [Extracted from the article] |
