Researchers at Federal University Ouro Preto in Brazil have conducted a study on Chagas disease, a global public health problem. The study focuses on the development of polymeric nanoparticles loaded with the drug benznidazole (BZ) for the treatment of Chagas disease. The researchers found that these nanoparticles showed promise in enhancing the effectiveness of BZ and reducing side effects. The study suggests that these nanoparticle formulations have potential as alternatives for treating Chagas disease and could contribute to the development of new BZ formulations.
