A new study conducted at Sveti Duh University Hospital in Zagreb, Croatia, examined the releasing dynamics of serum ST2 and calprotectin in patients with acute ischemic stroke (IS). The study included 20 patients with acute IS, and samples were taken at seven different time points. The primary outcome at 90 days was evaluated using the modified Rankin scale, and the secondary outcome was all-cause mortality after 90 days. The results showed that serum ST2 and calprotectin-releasing dynamics had valuable prognostic accuracy for IS outcomes. [Extracted from the article] |
