Abstrakt: This article explores trauma-informed care and screening for stress and emotional disorders in Afghan refugee children. It emphasizes the importance of using proven tools to evaluate and provide care for children from war-torn environments. While the experiences of Afghan refugee children may be unique, the tools and principles discussed can also be applied to children from other war-torn areas. The article provides screening tools for stress, anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in children, and highlights the need for cultural sensitivity when working with these children.
