This article is an interview with Tiffany Roach and Kari Lenhart, researchers at Drexel University, about their study on the effects of stress on germ stem cells in Drosophila. They found that repeated mating stress induces reversible changes in the germ stem cell niche. The researchers also discuss their future plans to study the effects of stress on other stem cell niches and collaborate with scientists working in different organisms. Overall, their work provides insights into the impact of stress on stem cell populations. [Extracted from the article] |
