Abstrakt: A study conducted by researchers at New York Medical College School of Medicine compared the outcomes of hysteroscopic tubal cannulation procedures using fluoroscopic guidance versus laparoscopic guidance in women with proximal tubal obstruction (PTO). The study found that fluoroscopically guided hysteroscopic tubal cannulation (FHTC) resulted in high rates of tubal patency and intrauterine pregnancies, comparable to those achieved with laparoscopically guided hysteroscopic tubal cannulation (LHTC). The researchers concluded that FHTC is a safe and effective procedure that should be considered for women with PTO who do not require operative laparoscopy. [Extracted from the article]
