A recent study conducted at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California, has found that low-temperature radiofrequency (RF) treatment, specifically VivAer, is an effective alternative for treating nasal obstruction, particularly in patients with a history of rhinoplasty or nasal valve repair. The study involved 37 patients who underwent VivAer RF treatment, and the results showed a statistically significant reduction in nasal obstruction symptoms. Repeat RF treatment also showed promise in non-responders. However, further research, including randomized controlled trials, is needed to validate these findings and expand treatment options for this patient population. [Extracted from the article] |
