A new study conducted by researchers at the University of Guelph explores the perceptions, educational opportunities, and goals of students in programs related to human, animal, and environmental health. The study engaged students from various disciplines, including Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), Doctor of Medicine (MD), and environment-related undergraduate programs. Through interviews, the researchers identified seven themes related to One Health (OH), including the current state of OH, meeting student needs, and supporting the future of OH. The study highlights the importance of including diverse perspectives and disciplines in OH education and suggests that integrating the findings into educational programming can improve student engagement with OH and support them in addressing complex health issues.
