A recent study conducted in Neiva, Huila, Colombia aimed to assess the knowledge, attitudes, and practices regarding visceral leishmaniasis in three communes. The study found that the majority of the surveyed population had little knowledge about the disease, its transmission, and treatment. Despite positive attitudes and practices, there is a lack of awareness about specific preventive measures.
