Abstrakt: A recent study conducted by the University of Nis explored the spasmolytic, antimicrobial, and antioxidant activities of spray-dried extracts of Gentiana asclepiadea L. The study aimed to evaluate the impact of extract encapsulation on these bioactivities. The researchers found that both pure and encapsulated extracts exhibited significant spasmolytic effects, with the encapsulated extract retaining all of the tested bioactivities. The study suggests that Gentiana asclepiadea L. has potential for use in the treatment of gastrointestinal complaints and that the encapsulated extract could be a valuable ingredient in pharmaceutical and food products.
