Abstrakt: A report from Yantai University in China discusses the development of a new type of separation material for high-performance liquid chromatography. The material, called molecularly imprinted polymer-coated silica microbeads (MIP/SiO2), was created using sulfamethoxazole as a template. The researchers evaluated the chromatographic performance of the MIP/SiO2 column and compared it to other separation materials. The results showed that the MIP/SiO2 column can effectively separate highly polar drugs. This research highlights the potential of molecularly imprinted polymer-based separation materials in various fields. [Extracted from the article]
