Acute endometritis belongs to the spectrum of inflammatory diseases of the upper genital system, characterized as pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) and is an ascending inflammation located in the endometrial cavity. It is a cause of acute abdominal pain and requires early clinical diagnosis and treatment.
