Abstrakt: Identifying the source of pollution and clarifying the pollution responsibility is an important basis for groundwater environmental protection. In this study, a chemical industry park and its adjacent landfill in the Pearl River Delta region was selected as the investigation object. We characterize the distribution of groundwater pollution, and identify the source of groundwater pollution based on both PMF model and stable isotope technique. The results showed that the detected concentration of pH, NH4+, Fe, Mn indicated the groundwater pollution. The most serious point was near the junction between the chemical park and the landfill, in which the concentration of NH4+, Fe, Mn was 68.20, 28.10, 15.80 mg/L, respectively. The PMF model initially revealed the influencing factors of groundwater quality in the study area, which were hydrogeochemical evolution (43.1%), anthropogenic pollution (27.9%) and primary geological process (15.7%). The δ15N-NH4+ value further confirmed the landfill was the main contributor to groundwater ammonia nitrogen pollution. The groundwater pollution sources and contribution rates were effectively identified through the combination of PMF model and stable isotope technology, and the pollution responsibilities among different pollution sources were clarified, providing scientific support for groundwater pollution prevention and environmental management.
