Abstrakt: This article explores the cancer burden and disparities in cancer care delivery in Northeast India, focusing on Nagaland. The region has a high incidence of cancer, particularly related to sociocultural factors. However, there are challenges in providing cancer care, such as a lack of hospitals and trained medical professionals. Patients often have to seek treatment outside the region, resulting in high costs. The article emphasizes the importance of early prevention and screening interventions, but highlights low awareness and attendance rates for screenings. It also discusses the role of families in supporting cancer patients and suggests implementing various strategies to improve cancer care delivery.
