Abstrakt: We propose an implicit constitutive relationship for viscoelastic solids with strain rate dependence, where one of the main variables governing the constitution is the density of the body. In the instance of the body being isotropic, an explicit expression is obtained for the constitutive relationship, which is then approximated when the displacement gradient and the velocity gradient are small. The constitutive relationship is further simplified by assuming that it is linear in the stress, strain, and strain rate. Using this simplified constitutive relationship, we solve some boundary value problems. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
