Abstrakt: India is a vast and diverse country with a complex healthcare scheme that faces significant challenges in providing quality care to its population. Obstetric care is a complex area of healthcare. The history of clinical care pathways in obstetric care reflects a continued effort to improve the quality and safety of healthcare for mothers and infants. This comprehensive review provides an overview of clinical care pathways in obstetric care. It sheds light on the current evidence supporting the use of clinical care pathways for the management of anaemia during pregnancy, Gestational Diabetes Mellitus (GDM), pre-eclampsia, and Preterm Labour (PTL). The primary aim of this review is to recognise the accessibility and strength of evidence for the use of clinical care pathways in the management of common complications of pregnancy.
