The fourth meeting of the Subsidiary Body on Implementation (SBI 4) of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) and its Protocols focused on cooperation, mainstreaming, and the effectiveness of processes. Delegates discussed planning, monitoring, reporting, and review mechanisms, capacity building, resource mobilization, and collaboration with other conventions and organizations. The meeting also addressed the implementation of the Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF) and whether a new framework would be necessary.
