Abstrakt: A recent study conducted by the University of Wollongong in Australia has found that universal screening at settlement services can help identify and support refugee and migrant women who are experiencing intimate partner violence. The study, called Safety and Health after Arrival (SAHAR), involved routine screening for abuse and providing women with information cards in their language. Of the 312 women screened, 29% disclosed intimate partner violence, which is consistent with previous findings. The study also highlighted the importance of language matching and culturally sensitive service environments in facilitating disclosure and seeking help. [Extracted from the article]
