Abstrakt: A report from Capital Medical University in Beijing, China discusses the clinical relevance of BRAF-V600E mutations in pediatric Langerhans cell histiocytosis (LCH). The study found that the presence of these mutations in plasma and peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) correlated with a worse prognosis for patients with LCH. The researchers suggest that combined analysis of the mutation in plasma and PBMCs is more accurate in predicting relapse than evaluating either one alone. However, further studies with larger cohorts are needed to validate these findings. [Extracted from the article]
