Abstrakt: A report from the Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences in Iran discusses the global prevalence of social anxiety disorder (SAD) in children, adolescents, and youth. The study found that the estimated prevalence of SAD is 4.7% in children, 8.3% in adolescents, and 17% in youth. These findings suggest an increase in the prevalence of SAD as individuals progress through developmental stages. The researchers recommend using this information to develop effective prevention strategies for those most susceptible to SAD. [Extracted from the article]
