Abstrakt:	A report from Guangdong Medical University in China discusses the relationship between the transforming growth factor-0 (TGF-0) and the cell adhesion signaling pathway in cancer. TGF-0 is associated with cell differentiation and migration, and it is released in an inactive form and localizes to the extracellular matrix. The activation of the TGF-0 signaling pathway requires specific integrins to recognize and activate the dormant TGF-0. Abnormal expression of key regulatory molecules can promote tumor invasion and metastasis through the TGF-0 signaling pathway. The report summarizes the crosstalk between TGF-0 and the cell adhesion signaling pathway in cancer and its underlying molecular mechanisms. [Extracted from the article]
