Abstrakt:	A new report from Boston, Massachusetts discusses the development and validation of an electronic surveillance model for identifying adverse events (AEs) in outpatient interventional radiology (IR) procedures. The study aimed to support patient safety and quality improvement by identifying cases likely to have an AE. The researchers used electronic triggers based on post-procedure care to flag potential cases, and then conducted chart reviews to identify AEs.
